Windows 10: 10016 DistributedCOM Error causing unexpected shutdowns with no BSOD and no dump files.

Hi iv been having a lot of problems with my computer.


I keep having unexpected shutdowns due to a 10016 DistributedCOM Error in event viewer.


The computer will shutdown suddenly with no warning then will get stuck in a boot loop resetting every time it gets to the ASUS splash screen until i unplug at the mains and drain power out by holding the power button on the front down for a bit.

Hi,

What implications would that be ?
It's easy enough to fix if you follow the steps correctly:

Windows 10 Event ID 10010 and 10016 Errors With DistributedCOM

No need to wait and hold your breath. MS can't be bothered with errors that appear to be random or caused by third party software really.

DistributedCom 10016 permissions event error


This is Dec 13 a.m. repeat series. The events from previous days in Dec. are now not listed in the Event viewer. This event is recorded at start up , repeats itself and then is not active for the rest of the day.
