Windows 10: 10041 Not Updating

Discus and support 10041 Not Updating in Windows 10 Updates and Activation to solve the problem; If it were me I would do a clean install with build 10074.     Thanks BunnyJ, I'll try it. I figure I'll have to, or on I'll be on 10041 forever. Thanks for your advice 10041 Not Updating :)

    I am on 10049, it shows all the updates but doesn't doiwnload them. "Downloading Updates" just sits at 0% and I have a 100/100 connection from Fios. Had the same problem getting to 10049 and my only fix was a full reinstall from an ISO. Really don't feel like doing that again.

    10041 Not Updating

    Well, I've failed miserably.
    First I tried to create a bootable SD card (via a card reader), using Rufus, that failed. Maybe you can't do that with SD cards, I don't know.
    So, having lost two USB drive sticks recently, my only resort is to create a bootable DVD. I used the Windows tool to do this.
    I disconnected everything except the 120GB SSD, currently housing Windows 10 10041.
    It was then that I discovered that I cannot enter my bios!
    I'm using an Asrock B75 Pro, which has a minimal splash screen anyway, and I can't remember seeing it for a bit.
    Anyway, nothing happened at all, no boot at all. I would have thought that Windows would default to the DVD to boot, but obviously not.
    I'm getting really fed up with this. :-(

    Hmmn.

    I cannot enter the BIOS from 10041. I suspect this has been a long term problem. Now I think of it, I don't recall seeing the Asrock BIOS instructions (Del or F2), which is all I used to see, (no graphic splash), for a long time.
    Well. I'm stuck now. Anybody have an idea what to do?

    Oh dear. It looks like I have serious problems. As I couldn't enter the BIOS on the SSD, I thought I'd take that out of the equation.
    So I disconnected the SSD, figuring I tried to install to a 2TB HDD which had a Windows 7 boot partition on it.
    So. I got my 10074 disk ready, put it in the drive and tried to boot,
    Still can't enter the BIOS, so no boot from the disk. Nothing,
    So now, I've reconnected the SSD, and booted into 10041 again.
    I'm going to have to live with 10041 forever, unless anyone can think of a way to get into the BIOS on this thing. I figure it must have one somewhere :-(
