    10240 latest update - longer to download than ENTIRE update from 10162


    Hi there

    I have a decent FAST internet -- but latest update (only a security update) seems to be taking LONGER than the ENTIRE update I did going from 10162 to 10240.

    15 mins and STILL only at 6% ??? for a small security update.

    I know my ISP is OK so what gives --anybody else got problems with this update.

    Upgrade from 10162 to 10240

    Hi All,

    I just installed a copy of 10162 on my PC. I cannot upgrade to 10240 - doesn't appear in windows update.

    I am assuming it's because previous activation keys no longer active these windows builds, hence it won't update?

    Is there a work around to get me onto 10240?

    Morning, Jimbo! Did you just do that? Sometimes, this hour of the day, there is a lot of server maintenance going on, and you could have been just caught up in the traffic.

    Mine went fast, but that was last night ~ 10:00pm
