Windows 10: 10gb ram usage gaming laptop

Ive hap my F17 tuf gaming laptop for a just under a year, i have 16gbs of ram a 3050 with 4 gbs of vram and intelcorei9. now thats not the problem when im running nothing my pc is using 10gbs of ram and is also at 80 to 90 degrees Celsius. and this happend very suddently. as i play rust and star citizen and on rust on high graphics on this pc i get 60 70 fps and can run backgroup apps, star citizen i get 30 40 60 fps and can run backgroup apps barely. and all of a sudden my computer crashes and when i load it back up im using 10gbs of ram and my temp is 90, ive done everything ive done mult

Unknown Constant RAM Usage

Hi,

To explore more on RAM usage by processes and see in-depth I advise you to open the Resource monitor, please follow the below steps.

Step 1 :

Open Task Manager

Step 2:

Click on Performance

Step 3:

At the bottom click on Open Resource Monitor

Step 4:

Under Resource Monitor windows click on Memory

Step 5:

Click on Working Set to list the top process utilizing the more RAM and then evaluate RAM usage.

Computer Idling at 10GB memory usage after 1 week of no usage.

Hello, I have a 2015 model ASUS ROG GL 511JW laptop with 16GB DDR3 RAM and 4GB GTX 960M GPU with Intel i7 4720HQ processor. I decided to leave it on for 1 week and did nothing on the device. I let it idle for a whole week and at the end, I found that the memory usage from day 1 @ 2GB usage goes up to 10 GB on day 7. Fun thing is that the memory usage listed under the processes bar of task manager does not add up to even 2GB! Is it possible that my computer is being mined off of? or what could be the possible reason of this error? I'vetried updating all my drivers, used the laptop without it's battery connected, minimized total monitors used. But I still use massive memory chucks until I restart the device.
