Windows 10: 128+ GB USB drives dont appear on my dell laptop

so i was in the process of moving large files and randomly after formatting my 128 gb usb drives to fat32 they couldnt be seenlike they were able to seen after the format but a few files later after i plugged them in they couldnt be seenthe same thing for my second 128 gb usb, i have a 16 gb usb and a 32gb that could be seen but likei need my 2 128 gb usbsi looked into device manager because sometimes randly i could hear the windows device connected soundits not a port issue, idk if its important but the 128 usbs do get really warm at the connectionsbut sometimes in device manager i would get

hello i have win 10 and today connect my trancend usb 3.0 flash drive.the capacity is 128 GB but in appears with 32 GB!!!.i format it but nothing change.any help please

Hi there

Easy way to do that in Command mode (admin / elevated)

1) Diskpart
2) List Disk -- should show a number of HDD's including the one with your USB on it
3)Select Disk nn where nn is Disk nr shown in the List Disk (step 2)
4) Clean

5) exit

Now in control panel --admin tools-->computer management-->disk management you should see your USB device as either RAW or unformatted. Create partition on it to desired size and type.

Windows 10 Install Files Turned 128 GB Flash Drive into Only 32 GB!

I used the Windows 10 upgrade to place the installation files onto my 128 GB Sandisk Cruzer Flash Drive.

I later just used the regular upgrade via downloading over the internet and my upgrade went fine.

I went back to my flash drive to delete the Windows 10 off of the flash drive only to discover that my 128 GB flash drive was now hosed down to only 32 GB of storage, even after formatting the drive!

Does anyone have any suggestions how I might restore the full storage of my flash drive back to 128 GB?
