Windows 10: 1280p x 720p videos not running smoothly on windows 10 nor does apps

Hi. I have an old windows xp laptop that was upgraded to windows 7, then upgraded it to windows 10, the laptop didnt update properly so I resetted it to reinstall windows 10, i got it to update then to 20h2 and store apps also got updated. Videos of a 1280px720p was playing 100% on the windows 7 on its on apps and vlc but now the videos lag and hook and is slow on all programs I try on windows 10. When I also click on anything at times I have to click couple of times before that specific thing responds, opening apps takes time to open up, disnt have this problem with windows 7. The laptop is: Acer, intel celeron m processor 420, 1,6ghz, 533 MHz FSB, 1mb L2 cache, intel graphics accelerator 950, 120GB HDD, 512MB DDR2

Default video settings on Samsung Focus, is there such a thing? Want 720p not VGA.

I keep having to set the video to 720p instead of VGA. The setting doesnt stick and I have to reset it every time. Where do I set video defaults?

I would suggest you to run the below steps and then follow the suggestions provided by Aswin and check if it helps.

Run the inbuilt windows app troubleshooter and check if it helps.

• Press Windows Key+X.
• Click Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on Windows Store app to run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to reset Windows Store cache and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key+ R.
• Type wsreset.exe and hit
  Enter.

Which video player to use on windows 7 PC to watch videos captured with Lumia 720 (720p)

So what do you suggest I do?
P.S. I tried running some other 720p and 1020p videos too, all were having that harsh glare and unnatural colour profile when played on windows media player. VLC player however played it perfectly with original colour profile.
Please suggest a possible solution. will uninstalling KMPlayer help?
