Windows 10: 12c hid device not strting code 10

i literraly tried everything on the onternet even resetting my pc still 12c hid device nto starting code 10 is happening i am lucky that i have a touch laptop and i can use it but still i want my touch pad back. i am think of opening my laptop before that i came here for answersplease help and my device manager shows driver error so i dont think its a hardware issue but i dont know please help

Touchpad Not Working (12C HID Device)

For the last week I’ve been unable to use the touchpad on my laptop, going into Device Manager the lower 12C HID Device has a warning symbol on it.

Device status states “This device cannot start (Code 10)” followed by “A request for the HID descriptor failed”). After attempting to update the he driver and then disabling/enabling it failed I decided to Uninstall and then Reinstall the device, this worker for a day until the issue again persisted.

The touchpad had issues like this before but never this long or serious, and it’s with the same Code 10 issue. As well I am unable to update the driver as it says that the “best drivers” already installed is the other 12C HID device.

I need help with this, as the laptop I am using is used for school and although it has a touchscreen it’s incredibly inconvenient to use.

So after 4 days of no issues, the same problem arose, even after downloading the correct stuff and restarting it the issue has returned at the worst moment of the school week. I retried everything which doesn't work and I am not willing to completely reset my computer just for it to work for a few days.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know. The issue had to happen in the middle of a school week with several online assignments needing to be completed and the touchscreen is to ineffective of being a substitute.
