  1. 1440p Monitor Causing Windows to Change Size When Playing Older Games

I did not have this problem with my 1080p monitor.

    I recently upgraded to a 1440p 144Hz monitor.

Now every time I play some older games (AOE2 and Alpha Centauri so far), any open windows get resized into small windows usually (but not always) appearing at the top left of my screen. This happens even if I minimise the windows first.

I've played around with compatibility settings, but nothing works.

I have also disabled automatic resizing and snapping in settings.

I have display scaling set to 125%, but this was true with the old monitor, as well.

    Any ideas?

    :)

  2. playing older games

    Hi,

An incomplete update may cause issues playing older games on Windows 10. To resolve your concern, you need to install all critical and important updates on your computer by following the steps on this

Windows 10 has a built-in DirectX 12 which is the latest version of DirectX. If you are still unable to play older games on your Windows 10 PC, change the compatibility settings on your computer by following the steps on this

Note Most programs created for earlier versions of Windows will work on Windows 10,

Change Relative Size of Multiple Monitors

When configuring multiple monitors for Windows 10, how can I change the relative size of one monitor to the other in the Display Settings? To be more clear, if I have a 27-inch 1440p monitor and a 4k 27-inch monitor, the 4k monitor shows up as a bigger monitor in the display settings. This causes the pictures to look identical, but in real life, there is an offset as if the monitors were not of identical size. The 1440p shows as a smaller monitor and acts as a smaller monitor. Is there anything I can do, or would I have to deal with it?

    1440P or 4K

High on my wish list is the BenQ GW2765 HT which is 1440p and ips, the same size as my LG M2762D, a 1080p tv/monitor. I feel that the 4K monitors may suffer from text size problems in this size range as Bobkn has mentioned.
