Windows 10: 1440p monitor suddenly got downscale to 1024p

My 2nd screen got his resolution downscaled without any reasons and when i go to settings im limited to 2 resolutions 1024 and 800. I already tried to reintall multiple times my graphics card drivers without success.

1440p monitors will not align properly

I have four 1440p monitors. The middle ones (top and bottom) align properly.

The two (one of each side) refuse to align properly with the monitor they are docked/linked to. All monitors are 1440p high... The side ones are shifted upward about 16 pixels. Attached is a Google remote desktop showing the misalignment.

No amount of moving and docking fixes the problem. It seems to be a bug due to the one 1440 below is somehow jacking the other monitors up. The two monitors in the middle are the exact same model....

An internet search suggested using the Nvidia layout manager to address a similar problem (2x2 layout) and to completely avoid Windows layout. I will try that later.

But what I do not understand is how this is even happening. They are all 1440p monitors. But it is 3 on top and 1 on bottom... Horizontal layout is fine. The verical is all screwed up.....

 

1440P or 4K


High on my wish list is the BenQ GW2765 HT which is 1440p and ips, the same size as my LG M2762D, a 1080p tv/monitor. I feel that the 4K monitors may suffer from text size problems in this size range as Bobkn has mentioned.

It sounds like your 1440p monitors will not align properly. The reasons for this problem are various:

1.Beside the monitor, there maybe magnetic objects placed all year round, causing magnetic chaos.

Solution: Check the environment, remove the magnet, pull out the graphics card and plug it in again.

2.It may be that the refresh rate is too high, causing the monitor to fail to display normally.

Solution: In the desktop Properties, first set the hungry frequency of the monitor directly to the lowest, and then be sure to turn off the PC. Pull out the graphics card, repeat the steps in 1, and then start it again.

3. Poor contact between the monitor and the graphics card.

To deal with it, unplug the cable, clean the interface between the graphics card and the monitor, and restart it after connecting it.

4. Monitor quality problems (very low probability).

Treatment method: return to the factory for repair.
