  1. 175% Scale causes arrows in Task Manager to have visual artifacts

    When I set the scale to 175% the dropdown arrows in Task Manager to have visual artifacts as you can see in the picture. But when I set it to 150%, which is the recommended scale, the visual artifacts are gone. The issue is, I prefer 175%. I'm using a 32"4K monitor and if I set it 150%, everything is too small for me. Is there a fix for this?

    :)

  2. Tablet Mode + 175% Scaling = Visual Glitch/Bug

    Thank you for your response, but the problem persist even after:

    • Sfc /scannow: no integrity violation found, all is ok;
    • Your Method 1: I have already all drivers updated, but the problem remains;
    • Your Method 2: Surface Pro 3 is Microsoft device, so all drivers update come along through Windows Update, so I tried:
    • Went to Intel display drivers page, and force installed the latest 8/8/2015 drivers through Device Manager (manually picking the .INF file). Drivers installed successfully, rebooted, but...the problem still persist.
    I suppose it's an OS problem dealing with DPI scaling other than default value (in my case anything else than 150%) while in Tablet Mode.

    There are no visual glitches exiting out Tablet Mode and remaining on Desktop mode (while in 175%).

    What causes these odd font artifacts around numbers

    The artifacts you are seeing appear only with numbers, but that's a red herring. It's a screen artifact like any other screen artifact that sometimes affects a monitor. The problem is that these artifacts have a million causes, give or take.

    Presuming that you have a graphics driver that is supported on Windows 10, and that you have already tried restarting your computer, here are some fixes that have worked for others:

    • Refresh the screen (press F5.) You may have to do this 2 or 3 times.
    • Turn off ClearType.
    • Open Task Manager and End Task on Windows Explorer. That forces the Windows shell to restart.

  4. 175% Scale causes arrows in Task Manager to have visual artifacts

    Tablet Mode + 175% Scaling = Visual Glitch/Bug

    Hello,

    I would like to report this strange visual glitch/bug on my Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10 Pro fully updated.

    When:

    -Tablet Mode is enabled;

    -Auto-Hide taskbar is enabled;

    -DPI Scaling is set to 175% (up from Default 150%)

    -Switching back to Start Screen from a Multitasking app

    This happens:

    175% Scale causes arrows in Task Manager to have visual artifacts d31b93a1-b65d-4145-a142-3deaa12258ed.png

    175% Scale causes arrows in Task Manager to have visual artifacts 819afe86-d4a1-4a25-a34d-0fdd7495849e.png

    It's a single pixel line taken from the last opened App or active Window and it disappear only closing all opened apps.

    How can I fix it?

    Thanks
