Windows 10: 1803 Update failing repeatedly

This issue has cost me days in trying to resolve, but to no avail. My PC has repeatedly failed to upgrade to the latest version since 1703. To make matters worse KB4023814 is not to be found in the Update Catalogue. I've followed numerous suggested solutions online, from Microsoft's official pages, youtube videos, Community suggestions.

I've tried:

1. Sfc Scanning followed by DISM etc... (No errors)

2. Tried to reset ("There was a problem resetting your PC" and returns to my previous state)

3. In-place Upgrade and also Clean Install Windows 10 (installs until 88% and then fails to restart with error message "Failed to Install Windows 10")


and other recommended solutions.


Does anybody know what exactly is the issue?

When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.

Windows UPdate fails on update 1803

I repeatedly receive a message that Windows update 1803 for my Windows 10 machine fails on error code 0xc1900208. Any ideas on how to resolve this?
