Windows 10: 1803 windows update failling all the time, installation stucks at 42%

So am having problem updating windows to 1803 from 1709 for a time now, I've tried some other options from the community but non work. This is my laptops info as well the details of setup fail. I've also uninstall my antivirus and disconnected from internet and failed. I've downloaded as well the iso from Microsoft website and failed. Also my graphic cards are intel HD and AMD Radeon HD 8750 2GB which I believe it might be responsible cause AMD was the only problem after I did format my laptop with windows drivers not recognizing it and I've installed the graphic card from cd to make it work. Also I've installed system cared pro to help but didn't helped as well

1803 update stuck at %42


I'm on a Lenovo laptop with dual graphics card. I didn't experience a single major Windows 10 update stucking after some time and 1803 is no exception.

I have tried disconnecting USB devices, disabling anti-virus & firewall, clearing update cache, running SFC, DISM, WUA etc. but still it stucks at %42.

Why every major update is problematic for me? I don't want to do a clean install again.

I just noticed the similarity of the thread title to my post: "1803 update stuck at %42" Does that qualify as "spooky action at a distance"?

 

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
