    1809 bug - Windows skipping lock screen


    At least twice now since upgrading to 1809 Windows will skip the lock screen and go straight to the desktop. Both times it happened after the system was waking from sleep. It could be a major privacy issue for those that depend on the lock screen to protect sensitive information.

    Skip 1803 and get 1809.

    Is it okay for me to skip the April 1803 update and get the Fall 1809 update instead?

    Skipping Windows Welcome Screen.

    When I initially installed Windows, it used to skip the welcome screen and login. Now after many updates, drivers, etc... it goes to welcome screen. I have no password and only one account. This is for my HTPC, and I really want to right away load MCE, but this thing is the only hitch I have. I looked through user's in control panel, but there is no option to skip. How do you skip the Welcome Screen?

    No Lock screen in Windows 10.

    Thank you for your response with the current update on the issue.

    I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen option as Windows Spotlight and check if it helps.

    1. Right click on Desktop screen.

    2. Then click on Personalize.

    3. Click on Lock Screen.

    4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.
