Because there were problems, and was told to allow the pc to get push rollout instead of forcing the updates, I waited, and finally got the notice I have an update to get before end-of-life. So, I start by trying to get this download, and to install the thing. For the life of me, as you can see, this will not work. After it did not install by Windows Update, I also got the .iso and mounted it, double clicked setup, and got the same results a little faster. Update fails, like many others, on my 4 year old HP 15... Sysprep_Specialize operation First_Boot_Phase ; error 1900101-0x30018.


I posted files to share on OneDrive, and I have no idea what to look for, except I have removed ALL 3rd party wares for virus, and checked many of the drivers.. and let windows update search them also. I got a new Bios, and wifi... I got the list and access to download every driver for this pc issued by HP with their system online. But their update method is not telling there is any need.


I have run troubleshooter for Windows Update. SetupDiag, and gotten files of logs/msconfig.


I would like to have the install because of 'Terminal,' and other features. Help?

Booting problem following 1903 udate attempt.

HP Probook 430 G5 running Windows 10 Pro Education (retail version). Currently on 1809. Trying to update to 1903 using MCT. Tried 3 times getting error code 0xa0000400. Any suggestions?

 

HP Laptop 15-DB0005DX Windows 1809

Yes updated my HP Laptop 15-DB0005DX with Windows 1809 but now my
imageCLASS D320 Cannon printer wont print. Every time I print or do a test page it just says "Error printing to Cannon" and wont print anymore. Worked fine in 1803, anyone else had an issue with printers in 1809?

 

Upgraded to 1903 but it still 1809

At this point I am just exploring this topic and listening to all opinions.

Upgrading from 1809 to 1903 on my desktop was painless and error free, but it was forced upon me by MS. They ignored my update delay settings, and suddenly and unexpectedly the update/upgrade began. I resigned to it because I have four 1809 Macrium mirrors. If 1903 failed, I could easily restore.

Currently, I still have 1809 on the laptop. Are you suggesting to upgrade from 1809 to 1909? Now, 1909 is offered on the settings\updates page. I made two attempts to upgrade from 1809 to 1903. The first attempt was from the update link in the settings\updates and the second attempt was from Microsoft's update site - both failed. Based on this recent experience, the 1909 update will also fail because of Acer.
