Windows 10: 1809 Update results in Blackscreen

Discus and support 1809 Update results in Blackscreen in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I have tried three times to update to 1809 with the same result.     1809 Update results in Blackscreen


    I have tried three times to update to 1809 with the same result. All I get is a black screen and need to restore my system to the previous state.


    Running Win 10 Pro 64 bit

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti [Display adapter]

    AOC U3277WB [Monitor]
    3.50 gigahertz AMD FX-6300 Six-Core [Processor]

    Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 970-GAMING [Main Board]

    8156 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory


    2 Slots with 4096 MB, 2 Slots empty


    Any ideas? Do I need to remove the display adapter and go old school with VGA for the installation?

    Nvidia Driver Blackscreen

    I already went back like 5 versions.

    Also considered that it may be a windows 1809 issue but I still get blackscreens on 1803 and 1709.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
