Windows 10: 1809 windows update failling all the time, installation stucks at 42%

So am having problem updating windows to 1809 from 1709 for a time now, I've tried some other options from the community but non work. I've also uninstall my antivirus and disconnected from internet and failed.

Windows 10’s October 2018 Update (version 1809) Update Stuck at 42%

Hi,

When I try to update my laptop containing Windows Enterprise to Windows 10’s October 2018 Update (version 1809)

it gets stuck on 42% after several reboots. When I do a clean install with a iso it installs allright. I have the same issue on another laptop.

 

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Windows Update install stuck on 42%

My work PC asked to do an update yesterday....When I went to close I clicked the update and close. This morning when I turned it back on it had the usual "working on Updates, dont turn of your PC . This will take a while" and the spinning dote. Since its
reach 42% an hr ago its been stuck...Dots no longer spinning.

Should turn the power to shut it down and retry or is there any other suggestions
