Windows 10: 1903 update failed - yet again - even using the CMT

Hi to all,

Feature update 1903 has failed repeatedly for months.
I've looked at a number of threads on this forum, and tried a number of suggestions, unsuccessfully.

If I check for updates, it tries to work on a 1903 update.
Appears successful, and asks for reboot.
After reboot, I always get update failed again.

Update history shows 7 fails since June 27 2019.
1809 was installed successfully Dec 21st 2018.

Since June, numerous other updates hace been installed with success.

Failed update attempts return:

Also,
ran the troubleshooter, which ran sucessfully, and finished with 'apply repairs automatically'.

Did this, but with no change whatsoever.


On advice from here, yesterday ran the Creative Media Tool to force an 'upgrade'.

I found a 1903, but it came back with 'not suitable for your system'

I ran the CMT 1909 exe. It ran succesfully, but rolled back to 1809 with the following message:

We couldnt install Win10

0xC1900101 - 0x20017

The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

CMT Flashing Failed

I have exactly the same problem... Flash fails at CMT stage, and the phone still with all functions disable and no IMEI code...



I had tried in every way possible,
but the error is always on CMT flash ...
and the functions still disabled ..

Could this be software or hardware problem?

CMT Flashing Failed

My sim is a year old. I def noticed dents on it, and it had a little bit of a hard time reading on my old nokia e65 (which is what im using til i figure out whats goin on with the n900). I'll request a new sim from my provider!



Now regarding the flashing, I flashed the US OS first (and yes its the latest and greatest), and got the CMT flashing failed. Maybe what i "shouldn't" have done is attempt the emmc/vanilla after that, which actually succeeded.



When I noticed that the telephony functions were still not working, I read up a little and saw that people mentioned saying the Global OS did the trick. So i downloaded the latest and greatest of that, flashed it, and still got CMT flashing failed.



I'm curious though, does the vanilla flashing also talk to the CMT at all? I wonder why that would succeed with no issues, but the OS one did?

I too am facing the same problem of failed CMT flashing ! Telephone functins are disabled.

Re-flasing isn't helping.



Anyone had luck in getting the problem resolved?
