Windows 10: 1909 18363.836 Loss on taskbar transparency with AMD drivers. but transparency with basic...

Hope someone can help here.

I have windows 10 version 1909 build 18363.836

With AMD Adrenaline drivers Any rx 5700 hardware supported version installed, i lose taskbar and menu transparency.

Have tried the "Settings" options for transparency but with no effect.

Have tried the Group Policy modifications but with no effect.

Have tried the various suggested registry tweaks but with no effect.

I DID however notice that i have taskbar transparency using theBasic Windows graphics driver.


I would just stic the Basic Windows driver but i need the AMD gpu driver installed for various application support.

I realize this is a AMD driver incompatibility issue,, but the people here at the MS community seem to have more knowledge.

Any thoughts?


System:

Windows 10 1909 18363.836

AMD Ryzen 3 3200G

Gigabyte B450 DS3H motherboard.

16gb of Ram running at 3200mHz

512gb M.2 PCIe SSD

Sapphire RX 5700 xt Pulse.

You could try this:

(Aeroglass is now compatible to 1909)

It does seem like a bug, the taskbar should not be transparent, check your Display Driver to see the correct version is loaded and that you are not running on the Microsoft Basic Display Driver . . .

Thanks. Where do you find the latest aeroglass? I followed the first link you posted and then went looking for Aeroglass and not only got a message saying that the European website was not available but that it only worked up through some build dated to 2015.
