Windows 10: 1909 Coming to the End of Its Service Life? 20H2 Still Messing With Bluetooth!

What am I supposed to do?


I reported the issue with 20H2 and Bluetooth, probably more than once, months ago—when 20H2 first became available. I don't know that I posted about it here, but I did for the previous feature update this one.


To make it as clear as I can, Bluetooth works fine on both versions except for after using Hibernate. I use, need to use, Hibernate a lot. Also, the mouse I have atm is the best ever I have found for me. It's comfortably shaped for my hand, like all the Microsoft mice I've used, easy to click and, best of all, travels so well. Of course, I have a USB mouse for backup in occasional situations where Bluetooth is not available. They mostly get a bit sticky against the pad in humid weather though, and the click buttons are harder for me to use. I think I liked the original, foldable, Arc Mouse pretty well, but can't buy it any more.


Any thoughts?

Bluetooth Services

I've been using the audio gateway on my phone for a while, but when I actually looked through the list of services it does provide, I found it to be quite large. For some reason, my computer doesn't support many of these, such as remote control etc.

I'm pretty sure it has more or less to do with my bluetooth adapter, because it gives me only a small list of the total services it can accept. Anybody have any idea how I can add more?

 

Question: What's the end of service date for Windows 10 version 20H2? (October 21st, 2020)

20h2 has just been released, so Microsoft have probably not updated their web page yet, the Servicing lifecycle for the different virions of Windows 10 is 18 months from the release data, so that would put the end of service date for 20H2 at approx. April 2022,
unless you are running the Education version of Windows 1, which has a h2 life cycle of 30 months . . .

 

20H2 - no bluetooth?

I'm Jin, a fellow Windows 10 user and an independent advisor. I can see your device's Bluetooth has disappeared.

The most common and best way to resolve this is by visiting your device's manufacturer website and download the latest Bluetooth driver. Once downloaded, have it installed and check if it's going to work properly.

You can also start troubleshooting the Bluetooth via Device Manager.

1. Press Windows key + R, type devmgmt.msc then hit Enter.

2. Click on Bluetooth.

2. Right-click on the Bluetooth driver.

3. Select Update this driver.

If updating doesn't help, click on uninstall this driver instead. Then restart your device and go back to Device Manager. Right-click on Bluetooth then select scan for hardware changes. It should automatically detect the Bluetooth driver and reinstall it.

Since the issue appeared after installing an 20H2, please consider rolling back the update:

1. In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, and then choose it from the list of results

2. In the Control Panel search box, type recovery.

3. Select Recovery > Open System Restore.

4. In the Restore system files and setting box, select Next.
