Windows 10: 1909 Install ISO no longer available 2004 upgrade currently blocked

Hi - apologies if my terminology is off, this isn't my strong point and I'm learning the hard way. I've been having a problems with my PC over the last few months and can no longer run Windows 10 updates don't seem to have been able to run cumulative updates for a couple of months. I tried various things to try and analyse the error codes and going through SFC / DISM won't complete or fix the problem. Windows is now telling me I missing important security updates and I'm having intermittent problems with some USB stuff.


My computer is currently blocked from upgrading to 2004, I don't want to do a refresh install as I have a lot of Apps etc... that are going to be difficult to get hold of / reinstall / reconfigure preferences if they all get wiped. What I was looking to do was a repair install to keep as much in place as I can - only problem is the only ISO that is available is for 2004 as Microsoft have removed 1909! Presumably even if I did try and do a more severe refresh / full wipe, I'll still run into the problem of no compatible version of windows to reinstall? How am I meant to try and maintain my computer appropriately if Microsoft pull the support files that are relevant to my computer and replace them with something that they then block my computer from using on compatibility grounds?

Upgrade Win10 1903 to 1909 using 1909 ISO?

Hi,

I need to know whether it is possible to upgrade Windows 10 Ver 1903 Build 18362.720 to 1909 using 1909 ISO?

I am trying to upgrade to 1909 but without using windows update as I already have 1909 ISO file. I don't want to do a clean install of 1909 but wanted to upgrade to 1909 without loosing any installed apps and existing configuration.

Existing Windows update shows a feature update to Windows 10 1909 available but I wanted to know whether Windows 909 ISO would be helpful so I would not have to download similar stuff again.

 

Revert To Build-1909 From Build-2004

Hi everyone. I'm currently running Windows 10 Home build-2004 but I find it pretty buggy on my system so would like to revert to build-1909. Unfortunately the 1909 ISO is no longer available on the Microsoft website. Can anybody advise what is the best route to take? I don't have any backups.

Upgrade Win10 1903 to 1909 using 1909 ISO?

The upgrade from 1903 to 1909 is just some normal Cumulative Updates.. If you haven't done a manual check for updates, try that.

The 1909 .iso is just the 1903 .iso and it installs those updates during the process.. But let us know how it goes..
