    1Gbps internet problem

I have a small problem with the Internet in Windows. A few days ago I upgraded my Internet from 300mbps to 1gbps, after installing the new router, I had Internet speeds of 900 download and 40 upload, I called my provider, and they told me that they do not block any limit or something like that. After I looked on some forums, I reset my internet from the windows settings, after that the link speed remained at 100/100mbps, even if I deleted the driver, or gave it an update, even if I gave it device manager 1.0Gbps Full Duplex, still at 100mbps. I want to specify that the internet cable is a cat5

    :)

    Cannot use 1Gbps Internet

    Hi,

Did you get a new 1gbps "Plan"or hardware device..

I might be missing something, but I was not aware of the existence of a 1gbps internet download speed..

A lot of routers and Ethernet adapters are 1gbps capable, but that does not mean you have a connection capable of that..

  3. Cannot use 1Gbps Internet

    Hi Stefan Meirosu,

Please try to answer all the questions:

    1) Is the router yours or is it managed by your ISP?
    2) Do the router's LAN ports support 1Gbps speed?
    3) Is the PC connected directly to the router or via a hub / switch?
    4) Do you have fiber-optic connectivity?
    5) Do you have the possibility to connect another PC to the router?

If the router is managed by the ISP, contact your ISP for this problem and have them confirm that they provide you with a download speed of 1GBps.
If the router is yours, check on the manufacturer's site if the firmware currently in use is up-to-date, eventually update the firmware and make sure that the LAN ports support 1Gbps speed (read the router manual).

    Cannot use 1Gbps Internet

So your PC is showing 1Gbps connection to the router?

Is there any available firmware for your network adapter or router?

Setting Speed and Duplex to 1Gbps and Full didn't work?

Do you have any software installed to configure the network adapter?
