Windows 10: 1st Gen Surface Laptop: Unlock Encrypted BitLocker all 4 partitions and reinstall Windows

Hello all, I would like to install Windows to the latest version on my Surface Laptop Gen 1 - unsuccessfully so far. All recovery options given redirect me back to the option menu saying "something has gone wrong". Tried a variety of BIOS settings, trying to install Windows via USB unsuccessfully so far and other methods. I don't have any BitLocker Encryption or back up keys. At this stage, I am thinking of wiping/formatting the main disk incl. partition but I am yet about to find a way how to do so - and install Windows from a bootable USB.Various manual commands failed verification check e

BitLocker Data Partition unlock on boot

I am getting a laptop with Windows 10 Pro. I will be reducing the system partition and add another partition D: for data. Then i would move all user folders including Desktop to D: drive

I want to protect the D drive with BitLocker so that if laptop is stolen my data is safe. However the data drive needs to be unlocked before login as my user folders are in there else i will get an error.

Is it possible for BitLocker to ask for password to unlock D drive at boot?

I don't want to encrypt system partition not do i want to work with single partition.

BitLocker Network Unlock Surface Pro 4

Hi all

we have BitLocker with Network Unlock in Place. Everything is working fine (with Lenovo & Fujitsu devices).

We have Surface Pro 4 devices as well and unfortunately they're not working (same Setup, same Policies). When booting up, we have to enter the Bitlocker PIN.

Does anybody know what UEFI/BIOS Settings the Surface Pro 4 needs, to get the Network Unlock feature working?
