Windows 10: 1T HDD recognized but not giving me storage

i connected a 1T hdd drive to my pc and my pc recognizes the HDD drive but it is not giving me storage i can see the HDD in task manager but i still am not getting the storage how can i fix this.

10 year old 1T HDD

Hello all, not sure if i should post this here I have a 10 year old 1T HDD which has severed me well, i have several partitions on that drive ( 3 partitions ) with a variety of games and videos and data spread across all 3 Partitions. i will be purchasing a new 2T HDD for storage, ( 51 pounds which i think is a good deal )
i would like to move , copy or image all 3 partitions to the new HDD ( i will be making 3 partitions on the new HDD to match the old HDD. and i would like to also keep the specific drive letter on the old HDD to match the new HDD
i was wondering what would be the best way to accomplish this ?

Will I lose dual-booting if I clone HDD to NVMe using Macrium?

NavyLCDR - interesting suggestion - connect the NVMe drive before running the steps in the amazing article I linked to? Just to see that the 7010 (in each of Win 10 and Win 7 booting from the HDD) recognizes the NVMe for storage purposes, and that therefore each Win has the drivers for the Samsung NVMe? I like it.

 

HDD in a HDD caddy is not showing up in the disk management

To assist you better, I would like to ask some questions:

• How are you connecting the HDD Caddy?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

If you are connecting the device using USB, I suggest you to check if other USB devices are recognized as USB devices or Other device. If it is displaying as other device, then the issue might be with the USB port. So, I suggest you to update the USB drivers
by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Universal Serial Bus Controller.
• Right click on the drive, select Update Driver Software and follow the on-screen prompts.
