Windows 10: 2 Epson Monitor Staus 3 icons in my taskbar after install new printer on brand new laptop

Received my Dell XPS 15 9570 laptop and eventually had the time to set it up and follow the standard start up and start with the Windows Updates first before going on. I had just gotten a new Epson Workforce WF-4740 printer to replace my older problematic HP Officejet Pro 8660. never installed anything on the laptop previous to going to the Epson website and triple checking that I register my printer and download the correct software to install what is necessary. Suddenly I have 2 Epson Printers, 1 Epson Fax and 2 icons in my taskbar (arrow click open window shows 2 printers) plus 2 Epson Status Monitor 3 icons.


I have searched Epson's support and it's forums and keep getting to a pont that it refers me back to Windows 10 issue but not why I have 2 printers listed and 2 Epson Monitor Status 3 icons. Sometimes they are showing in the icons task windows, sometomes one icon out of the 4 shows, someties non show. I have only had a problem printing from my tablet or phone when away from the house even using the Epson iPrint App or printing through Google Cloid as is usually my preference and has always worked properly before I used windows 10.


I might add that when I first hooked up the printer I was using my laptop with Windows 8.1 and not a thing was showing multiple printers nd mutliple Statue Monitor 3 icons and tasks when I go into the services running.


Any advice or comments orquestiosn throw them to me please.

epson printer driver not installing

My Epson R300 was detected automatically by W7, didn't need to install any extra drivers, W7 had them already (although that may be because its an old printer, depends how new yours is). I'd try removing the epson software, plugging in the printer and uninstall through Device Manager (selecting remove software). Reboot and see if its useable then.

Looking for a new Printer

Well, after a recipe cook, and start of another one, my Epson Workforce 500 died.. *Cry :cry: Served me good for 2 years.

So, now looking for a new printer to buy come next pay

• Price: Under $200
• Preference: All-in-One since I work from home when I'm off the clock. (has to have a fax)
  Scanner/copier/fax
• Color Printer
• Networking of any kind. Printer is close to router
  

No brand is a preference. I do have a Corporate discount with both HP and CDW.
