    hey guys,
i have a new laptop with 2 graphic cards - the first one is INTEL HD GRAPHICS 520 and the other is NVIDIA 940MX.

so how do i know if the nvidia is the default graphic card?
and which settings do i need to change to make it happen?

    Thanks!

    :)

    Video TDR Failure Windows 10

    I had the same problem.

    Step 1-st

Change the default BIOS option - Problem solved

    I started experiments:

    Step 2-nd

Change in the BIOS (see graphic memory) graphics card to give a minimum of 512 MB - Problem returned

    Step 3rd

Change in BIOS memory options for the graphics card defaults (for me - a minimum of 32 MB) - Problem solved

For me this is the solution. Try it yourself.

    windows graphic driver after reset

Windows Update should by default update the driver when you are on the Web

    If not:

Method 1. Go to Device manager in Control Panel (Find control Panel by searching for it)

Right click your graphics card in 'Device Manager' and select 'Update Driver'

Method 2: Restart your PC, go into the BIOS, write down the version of the graphics card.

Then go to the Radeon (AMD) Website and download and install the correct driver for your card

2 graphics cards - use only 1 as default

I would think that choice needs to be made in your BIOS. Unfortunately, I don't know what graphics options are available in your specific BIOS (ie, dedicated, unique PCI-e, or shared) so I can't tell you which one to select and I'm not sure if you just want to use one (or both if possible).

  6. I have a Surface Book and it has the Intel integrated graphics and a Nvidia card. I go into the Nvidia Control Panel where it allows me to set the default graphics and also it allows me to set the default for each application. So I set Intel as the default and each app that could use the graphics boost I default to Nvidia.

Also I created the Nvidia Control Panel shortcut of the desktop.
