Hello out there, 1. Since activating Outlook 2016 about a year ago, it gave me a new MS account name: New on live.com as *** Email address is removed for privacy *** on live.com as *** Email address is removed for privacy *** which I Have used for years and years. Now in the past few days, W11 sends me a notice that there is a problem with my login and please login again, referencing *** Email address is removed for privacy *** as the login. Welcome to Microsoft Community.

• Is this the only account on the computer?
• Was this account upgraded from previous version of Windows?

It looks like you are using a local account. I suggest you follow these steps:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Microsoft account instead.
• Enter your Local account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the new Microsoft account and click OK.

Error 0x801901f4. Cant add Microsoft Account in Settings Email & Accounts or in Outlook

Hi George,

My name is Mohammed Shuaib, an Independent Advisor and I understand from the description that when you try to add an email account in Microsoft outlook you prompted with login window then immediately displayed the error. I would suggest following the below
steps to fix the issue.

Step 1:

Go to Search box next to windows icon and type Troubleshoot

Step 2:

Click to open Troubleshoot window

Step 3:

Then select "Program Compatibility Troubleshooter"

Step 4:

Click on Run the Troubleshooter

Step 5:

From the list of programs select the Outlook16 if your office version is 2016 (select outlook version whichever you have installed)

Step 6:

Then click Next

Step 7:

Click on "Try recommended Settings"

Step 8:

Then click on "Test the program"

Step 9:

Outlook will open in recommended compatibility settings mode

Step 10:

Now try to add the email account in this mode

Step 11:

Close the Outlook

Step 12:

If the account successfully gets added in the above step then on the Program Compatibility Troubleshooter window click Next

Step 13:

Click on Yes,Save this setting for this program
