I have a dual monitor setup previously when I used the snipping tool using the shortcut window shift and S the sniffing tool would open on my primary window and all was well. At some point in the last few days the snipping tool has begun to open on the secondary window and no matter what I do I can't get it to reset. I've repaired the programme I've reset the programme I've sent some feedback because there isn't an option to choose which window your snipping tool opens on and I think that will be sensible. You can't use window shift and the arrow key to change the window that's snipping tool o

Could you send a screen shot of the issue? To take a screen shot using Snipping tool, follow the below steps;

• 
  To open Snipping Tool, type Snipping Tool in the search box on the taskbar, then select
  Snipping Tool.
  
• 
  To take a screenshot with Snipping Tool, select
  New, then select the part of the screen that you want to capture. Choose from free-form, rectangular, window or full-screen snips by selecting the arrow on the
  New button.

Please try this:

Step 1:

Click Start, and type Snipping Tool.

Right-click Snipping Tool from the search results, and click App Settings

Click Reset,

Click Repair.

Note: In Windows 11, there is no Snip and Sketch. It comes pre-installed with the new Snipping Tool (which replaces the old Snipping Tool and Snip & Sketch apps)

Step 2:

Turn off Focus assist if it's enabled

Step 3:

Open Services.msc and make sure that the following services are set to "Automatic" and running:

• Windows Push Notifications System Service
  
• Windows Push Notifications User Service

I suggest you to change the settings to Extended Monitor and check if it helps.

Please follow below steps:

• Right Click any ware of the Desktop, and launch Personalization.
• Go to dual monitor settings under personalization, and change it Extended Monitor.
