Windows 10: 2 W11 Computers - 2 Diff Lock Screen Weather & More Widgets

Hiya,I have 2 different computers both running Win 11 Pro. One is a Pink Desktop I built and the other is a MSI Katana GF66 laptop.I have both of them set to have the Weather and more widget on the lock screen but they are showing 2 different versions of that widget. The Pink Desktop is showing weather, sports, markets and traffic and the Katana laptop is only showing weather and traffic. First off why is there a difference? Second off, I prefer the version with only the weather and traffic as I don't like sports and don't follow the markets and having 2 versus 4 looks nicer, so how do I r

1. Create a New User Account: You can create a new user account to verify if the lock screen properly displays weather and other advisories under the new profile. Follow these steps:
   
   • Open the Settings app on your Windows device and navigate to Accounts > Other users.
     
   • Click on "Add account" and enter the required account information:
     
     • If the person already has a Microsoft account, enter their email address.
       
     • If they don’t have a Microsoft account, you can create one using their email address.
       
     • Alternatively, if you prefer a local account, choose "Add a user without a Microsoft account" option.
       
   • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup of the new account.
     
2. Check Group Policy Settings (Available on Windows 11 Pro):
   
   • If you are using Windows 11 Pro, you can manage Group Policy settings to control widgets and notifications on the lock screen.
     
   • Search for and open "Group Policy" from the Start menu.
     
   • Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Widgets.
     
   • Here, you can configure settings related to weather and other content on the lock screen. Setting it as "Not configured" enables weather and more by default. Disabling this setting turns off weather and more on the lock screen as well as widgets on the taskbar.
     
   • Additionally, manage app notifications on the lock screen through: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon > Turn off app notifications on the lock screen.
     
   • Enabling this policy prevents app notifications from appearing on the lock screen. Disabling or not configuring this policy allows weather, notifications from apps, and more to be displayed on the lock screen.

I suggest you to follow the Steps to set your default location and check if that helps.

1. Type Weather on search and click on setting (Gear icon)

2. Select your location and set as default.

Follow the Steps to set Weather app in lock screen.

• Type Lock screen setting in Search.
• Under Choose an app to show the detailed status.
• Select Weather; restart your computer

Weather in Windows 10 Lock Screen

If you want to add weather app in the lock screen follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Turn on notifications in PC Settings. (This should be on by default.)

• Open the Settings Charm.
• Tap or click Change PC settings.
• Tap or click Notifications.
• Slide the Show app notifications and Show app notifications on the lock screen switches to On.

Step 2: Add the Weather app to lock screen notifications

• Open the Settings charm.
• Tap or click Change PC settings.
• Tap or click Personalize.
• In the right pane, with the Lock screen tab selected, under Choose apps to run in the background… tap or click one of the “plus” symbols and select Weather.

Then under Choose an app to display detailed status, tap or click the icon beneath it and select Weather.
