  1. 2 windows OS for 1 data SSD, question about file right/owning.

Hello MS community. I came here because I'm stuck after one of my neighbor asked me a question for a case I never been in. He actually own a nearly 10yo old PC, still under W7 for some specific software he's using, as well as for retro gaming. Steam forcing W10 utilization on January, he's going to buy another SSD and put 10 on it to keep playing other games. His plan is going to be: SSD1actual: W7 SSD2actual: data SSD3 the new one incoming:W10The question is about folder rights and owning, as he moved "my doc/pictures/music/videos/downloads" from default W7 locations, to his SSD2. 2 x m.2 ssd's as 2 partitions, 1 for os and 1 for all other software

I have 3 m.2 nvme ssd's installed on my mobo. I want to use two of them as 2 partitions and the third for my data / files. Can I put os on 1 partition and all other software on the other partition and how do I achieve this?

  3. Move OS to SSD leave data in HDD

To do so, follow the steps below:

    Step 1.
    Clone OS to SSD
    .

Step 2. Enter into BIOS and set the SSD as the first boot disk.

Step 3. Change the old drive to D:\ (you'd better do a disk backup of the old drive in adavance).

Hope my answer will give you a hand.

  4. 2 windows OS for 1 data SSD, question about file right/owning.

Is this amount of Data writen normal for a SSD?

I don't use SSD, since I heard that SSD has a very limited time for writes. And every time, you write something, it erases whole piece and write again together with the new to storage. Tip also suggests us to leave 1/4 SSD space for temporary storage. Or trouble will come.
Tips also recommend us to leave SSD for OS, and HDD for programs and data.
If your data is OS data, then there is nothing to do.
