Windows 10: 20 seconds of idle gives me login/password screen, how do I disable?

I'm at my wit's end. I'm running Win 10 and suddenly it has started to crash me to the login screen and requires me to enter my password, as if I pressed win+L. It started when it did it once and forcibly prompted me to change my login password to the computer. It might have been cause my usual login pass wasn't very secure? Why did it even force me to do that??


But now it does it after I've been idle for approx 20 seconds. If I'm actively using the pc, it doesn't do it. But it tries to do it if I'm watching something but doesn't succeed. But always after I've left the computer idle not moving my mouse it "crashes" to the login screen. It doesn't terminate any of my programs, it just wants me to log in again.


I've tried rebooting, I've tried installing all new windows updates, I've updated my graphic's driver, I've checked all power settings, I've googled like a madman... I don't see any errors in Event Viewer. I tried "sfc /scannow" in the command prompt and restored all my system files that way. I've tried disconnecting one of my displays. I ran Malwarebytes and removed all viruses/malware.


FIY I don't have a "Users must enter a name and password to use this computer." checkbox in my "user accounts" so I can't even make my computer automatically log me in. I tried disabling the first login screen but it doesn't help.

Nothing helps! What do I do, please help, someone!

as you have already tried to disable the login password from netplwiz, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Right click on Start and select Control Panel.
• click on Categories and select Large icons.
• Click on Power Options.
• In the left navigation pane, click on Require password on wakeup.
• Click on Change settings that are currently unavailable.
• Select the option, Don't require a password and click on
  Save changes.
