    2008 Service Pack 1 'update' problems


    • Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2538243) - Error 0x80070643

    Getting a bit miffed with this error. I 've tried almost everything I can find on the Windows support pages they recommend. All the answers are the same copy and paste answers that never work. Now this is stopping any other updates and driver installs.

    Anyone here have a way of getting this sorted please ?

    An update was installed on my windows 10 last night that said 2008 service pack 1. Why am i getting a service Pack on windows 10

    Why would I get an update installed last night Dec. 29th 2016 on my windows 10 that says it is 2008 service pack 1. Windows 10 is not supposed to have service packs.
