Windows 10: 2021-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems KB5008215 FAILS to install.

I cannot even install this update and it fails to install every time I attempt downloading this update. I get this error message every time I try to update, "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: 0x80073712. I have tried everything to resolve it and nothing has worked. I have run SFC, DISM, DSCK, tried to repair my system files, run the windows update trouble shooter and the problem continues to persist.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240

I have not shown all updates in this list.

I tried a suggestion by Norton of disabling 'Auto-Protect' and 'Smart Firewall' while retrying the update, but that made no difference.

So please Microsoft what is the solution?

I suppose I could leave it alone to continue failing until the next big update, but would that solve the problem?
