Windows 10: 2021-12 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based Systems KB5008215 FAILS to install.

I cannot even install this update and it fails to install every time I attempt downloading this update. I get this error message every time I try to update, "Some update files are missing or have problems. We'll try to download the update again later. Error code: 0x80073712. I have tried everything to resolve it and nothing has worked. I have run SFC, DISM, DiskCK, tried to repair my system files, run the windows update trouble shooter and the problem continues to persist.When is this update going to get fixed so it can be installed??? Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240

I have not shown all updates in this list.

I tried a suggestion by Norton of disabling 'Auto-Protect' and 'Smart Firewall' while retrying the update, but that made no difference.

So please Microsoft what is the solution?

I suppose I could leave it alone to continue failing until the next big update, but would that solve the problem?
