Not actually a question other than: Why?Automatic installation of 2022-07 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows 8.1 x64 KB5015874 breaks Media Center. On the next start WMC reports the guide database to be corrupt and that it had been "restored".It is not.It is empty, such as is your recording schedule.It gets worse. When trying to re-setup your signals and channels, WMC crashes a lot AccessViolationException, in something like RecoveryTask, and setting up a recording leads to an immediate crash.Resolution: Uninstall and hide KB5015874 Thank you Green Button TV. If anyone can help.

My computer runs Win8.1 Pro and very time my computer goes through its monthly updates it always fails when trying to install the Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Win 8.1 x64

The latest version its trying to do is KB5011564.

When I go into System Settings/ Update and Recovery/ View Your Update History, its says at the very top

Most Recent Cumulative update KB3000850

From the list below this the last Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Win 8.1 x64 that was installed was KB5004954 back on 9/7/2021

Every other update after this has failed.

Has anyone got any info that could help me try and resolve this problem please.
