Windows 10: 2022 ECOHERO Windows 11 Laptop is stuck on 2.8gb ram. 6 gigs of LPDDR4 soldered ram it...

so I got ECOHERO windows 11 laptop for school and noticed programs closing and crashing due to memory so I checked the task manager, I have 2.8gigs usable and 3.2 hardware reserved and the rest is cached all ram slots are showing used. I've originally tried changing the amount in MSConfig but kept reverting back to 2gigs something is affecting its behavior and I can't get down to the issue I've also attempted changing it in safe mode same results I've also tried disabling the page file while changing the Ram amount in Msconfig and I've also enabled ClearPageFileAtShutdown I've also deleted Tri

RAM ISSUE. Only 2GB usable of 6.

FYI... Some laptops actually do have RAM modules soldered in place. My Asus Zenbook Prime laptop DOES have it's modules soldered and in an thus can't be upgraded, therefore I'm stuck with only 4-gig of RAM.

Asus Zenbook Prime - UX31A (Service) - "RAM upgrades are not possible as they are soldered onto the mainboard to keep things compact"

But yes, some laptops actually do have RAM soldered in.

 

Windows shows 8GB RAM installed but 4GB RAM is usable

Hi There,

I've just upgraded my pc from 4GB RAM to 8GB RAM. Windows seems to have detected this upgrade but why does it show as only 4GB RAM available. The following is what I have tried so far with no luck:

• I have tried the msconfig method on ensuring maximum memory is not checked.
• physically removed the new RAM and reinstalled it

Any thoughts/suggestions on how i can resolve this matter?

increase RAM 4.0GB

IT DEPENDS upon laptop motherboard configurations , its better to contact the laptop manufacturer.

Some laptops have one one slot soldered with ram , so it cannot be removed .

some laptops have two slots , one is soldered , other is free .

some laptops comes with both solts are free to replace ram .

But maximum ram supported up to 8gb or 16gb
