Windows 10: 2023-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5030219

Does anyone know how to get rid of this update as it is not loading. it gets to 96% and then tells me it has failed. it is a nightmare. every time i turn on or off the computer its there like a bad dream that won't go away, please tell me some one has sorted it, because i have tried all sorts to fix this issue but nothing is working.

The 2023-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030219) update downloads and then fails during installation, leaving a Retry option. I have rebooted many times and retried the update with the same result.

Why would an in-place Upgrade solve this problem? I did all the steps listed here but not the in-place update. The error I see in the Windows update window is "Download error - 0x8024401c" for 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706). Its been logging this error since 3/17/2023

Note that on 2/15 everything seemed fine:

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

2023-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5022497)

Screen going dark and locking after a few seconds of inactivity after upgrate: 2023-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030219)

After upgrading to the Windows 11 2023-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5030219) the screen becomes dark automatically after about 5 seconds of inactivity and windows lock almost immediately. Nothing into power options seems to be configured to allow such a behavior.

I found a similar post here: Redirecting but the post has been locked and same as _adin, I do not have the options recommended in the 1st reply.
