Windows 10: 2023-12 cumulative update for windows 11 version 22h2 for x64-based systems kb5033375...

I've been having MAJOR irritating issues trying to update my laptop, and this specific error keeps on coming up, "2023-12 cumulative update for windows 11 version 22h2 for x64-based systems kb5033375 install error - 0x800f0991". I've rebooted, gone to the Microsoft website itself and got what I thought was the latest security download. Closed out all other windows and still keep on coming up with the same error. It will go up to 25%, hang, then fail out. I'm currently running on an Acer Aspire 3A315 with a 4GB DDR4 installed memory. I will be upgrading to 16GB here very soon. I was wondering

Why would an in-place Upgrade solve this problem? I did all the steps listed here but not the in-place update. The error I see in the Windows update window is "Download error - 0x8024401c" for 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706). Its been logging this error since 3/17/2023

Note that on 2/15 everything seemed fine:

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023

2023-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5022497)
