Windows 10: 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems KB5034123...

I cannot seem to ge this update to install, I have looked up a number of "fixes" and followed them, but it still will not install. I get either a failure on download, or a failure on install. I have tried downloading the update from the catalogue, but it still fails to install. I have stopped the update services and restarted them, no luck, I have run SFC and it found no issues, rebooted a bunch of times...still won't install.

Unable to install 2024-01 Cumulative Updates for Windows 11

I've tried the Windows Troubleshooter, and I disabled Malwarebytes (I primarily use Windows Defender, so I didn't need it running as well), and I've tried restarting a couple times.

But the following two updates refuse to install, and I keep receiving error code 0x80070020 for:

• 2024-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5034123)
  
• 2024-01 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11, version 22H2 for x64 (KB5033920)
  

What do I need to do, to get these updates to install?

I'm running Windows 11 Home (version 22H2).

Not sure if it's extraneous info but my processor is a 12th Gen Intel i7, with 32GB of RAM.

why is laptop getting 22h2 version of windows 11 instead of 23h2?

I got these updates. But why am not getting 23h2 version? Also do I really need 23h2 version?

Why would an in-place Upgrade solve this problem? I did all the steps listed here but not the in-place update. The error I see in the Windows update window is "Download error - 0x8024401c" for 2023-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5023706). Its been logging this error since 3/17/2023

Note that on 2/15 everything seemed fine:

Successfully Installed on 2/15/2023
