Windows 10: 2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 KB5050094 Drag and Drop Issue

This update completed on 2/1/2025 for my windows 11 x64 system and since then drag and drop has stopped working inside some installed apps.This hasn't affected Windows based apps, but for ones like iTunes and Nero I can no longer drag music files into other folders/compilations/playlists within those programs.My best guess is it's a security issue, but I have checked the .exe for each program and it shows Full Control from my username and for Admin mode. Even if I run these apps in Admin mode it will not allow and drag and drop ... the circle/slash Ghostbusters symbol immediately shows up and

Mouse Stutter in Windows 11

OK - new Windows update (2025-01 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5050094) and it looks like MS have known about an issue all along! Let's see if it works..

Fixed: The mouse cursor might stutter when it moves across the screen. This occurs even when the system is not using a lot of resources.

[Taskbar]

• Drag and drop is now supported on the Windows 11 taskbar. Quickly drag and drop files between app windows, by hovering over apps in the taskbar to bring their windows to the foreground. Try attaching a file to an Outlook e-mail by dragging it and hovering over the Outlook icon in the taskbar to bring the window to the foreground. Once in the foreground, drop your file into the e-mail to attach it. You can also customize your taskbar with your favorite apps from Start’s All apps list by dragging and dropping over the taskbar to pin them. You can also drag and drop to the desktop via “Show desktop” at the very right corner of the taskbar.
