Windows 10: 2025-3 Cumulative update Issue with 2025-3. It repeatedly fails and then backs out and...

My fairly new Lenovo Thinkpad laptop will not load the latest 2025-3 Cumulative Windows update. It repeatedly fails and then backs itself out and uninstalls, only to do it all over again. How do I get rid of this update once and for all? I have tried the troubleshooter and many of the solutions listed in this forum to no avail. A Dolby driver update is also hanging in the install folder and won't install or go away either. Help, please!I am not a techie, and am struggling!

I’m using W10 x64 Home 1809 Build 17763.316.



I have 3 updates which repeatedly fail:



1. 2019-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64 (KB4486553) -Error 0x800f083



2. 2019-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4489899) -Error 0x800f0830



3. 2019-03 Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4489907) -Error 0x800f0830



I ran the update trouble-shooter which didn’t find any errors.



I have tried the method of clearing C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download.



I have tried updating Flash to the latest version.



None of this has made any difference and the same 3 reappear only to fail again.



Any suggestions on what else I can try?

I'm having the same issue that's why I'm here to ask same question. I personally tried at least 15-20 times, gets me no where. I'm wondering if this update is nesicery

 

What happens to Windows 10 when it goes (EOL) after 2025?

2. Will Windows 11 or higher versions be released or stay Windows 10?

3. If Windows 11 is released in 2025 will this be a free upgrade?

5. Will WaaS be replaced with PaygS - Pay as you go service?
