    22H2 install freezes upon restart


    For months now, my system is trying to install the 22H2 update. The update seems to install fine, and the laptop restarts. But upon the restart, the computer freezes every time. After waiting a while, I have to do a hard shutdown holding down the power button. When i turn the laptop back on, it just reverts back to the old windows version i had before the update. Every couple of weeks this happens again when the system tries to install 22H2. Any idea what the issue is here?

    Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

    had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
