Windows 10: 22H2 Update Will not show up on compatible device

I have a 2021 Surface Pro 8 with an 11th gen intel i7 with 16gb of RAM running windows 11 21H2. I've been trying to update to the 22H2 but it simply wont show up for me. My device is up to date according to the setting prompt and all of my Intel Drivers are updated as well. I've looked through the registry editor and it seems as if there are no blocks for 22H2. Running the system troubleshoot on windows update does nothing either. Why can't I get the update??

If you can't install it from windows update you can try to install it manually, it's the same KB5015684 obtained with windows update.

I wish things are that simple. My error code was 0x80246017, and I don't have KB5020435 installed so it's a dead end. BTW, MS lists like 6 or 7 error codes of the format 0x8024xxxx on the "troubleshooting WU problems", and when you chose next step, it suggests generic steps: run WU troubleshooter, check if your disk has no errors, is your remote disk is accessible, etc. Same as MS community; each similar error has completely different cause and (re)solution.
MS in notorious for this- if it works then OK, if it doesn't then good luck.

 

My laptop is not showing other devices or unknown devices

Some devices might be listed under hidden devices in Device Manager, I suggest you to open Device Manager then click on View option and click on Show hidden devices. Once it is done, check whether you can find the device.

As an initial step of troubleshooting, I suggest you to try connecting the device with other USB ports and check if it is detected (If you are connecting through USB).

Also, try updating the USB drivers and check if it helps. Follow the below steps.

-Open Device Manager.

-Find and expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

-Right-click on each driver listed and click on Update Driver Software

-Restart the system after updating the drivers.

-Try connecting the device and check if the issue still persists.
