24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) Sample Rate and Bit Depth not available in Windows 10

The 24 bit 192000 Hz option is available in Windows 7. But is not available in Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.

('Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Sound - Manage Audio Devices - Sound - 'DENON AVRHD' - Properties - Advanced - Default Format')

Using a new Gigabyte Motherboard Z170x-Gaming 7 and Skylake i5 Processor with all updated drivers and misc. updates.

The 24 bit 192000 Hz option is available and works fine with Windows 7. I have two other hard drives for the same PC: one with Windows 8.1 Pro and one with Windows 10 Pro, and that Sampling Rate is not available. It seems all the lower ones are available.

Should I try the Home version of Windows 8.1 or 10 or can I provide more detailed information?

As information and example, "24 bit, 96000 Hz (Studio Quality)" is available.

    Please help...

    Thank you

24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality) Sample Rate and Bit Depth not available in Windows 10

Is there some way to import the Windows 7 drivers that do work for use in Windows 10 or 8.1?

It seems that as long as a particular audio format (e.g. 24 bit, 192000 Hz) shows up in the pull down list, the media player software (foobar, Kodi, etc.) running in Windows will play the music file. But if the format is not listed, an error is displayed
by the player. Is there a way to trick windows into determining a format is acceptable even if it was deemed not to be by Windows?

Do we know how Windows determines which formats are available within the HDMI-connected AVR? And, perhaps, how that handshake could result in inaccurate results?

Hi when I was digging some of the options in the settings and I was under the devices section and there was an option called sound setting I know what was it there it showed my sound device and etc but in the bottom it was an option name properties then
I clicked on it I took me to my speaker settings but there I found a tab called advanced under that there was a option " select he sample rate and bit depth to be used when running in shared mode . there was many option which was from 16 bit 44100 hz(cd quality)
to 24 bit 192000hz( studio quality) and other 16 and 24 bits and hz qualities . so can anyone explain me what is it and if I select 24 bit 192000 quality what are the benefits and what are the negative points of it . I mean if I select highest quality can
it effect on my laptop performance . I am using Realtek studio sound .
