Windows 10: 24H2 update - no bitlocker, no encryption options in HOME edition

Hello.Just updated to 24H2 via assistant several hours ago and I'd like to set on bitlocker or encryption option, but there is no such options available. I also tried to set bitlocker and encryption in services.msc to auto mode and restarted laptop - still no effect, no keys in ms account, no any bitlocker or encryption options still one link in "system" category to ms store to upgrade to PRO version, but it was said bitlocker will be auto on clean and an option after update to 24H2 in HOME version anyway - where?. Please advice.

Microsoft has not announced a final date for Windows 11 24H2.

To disable Bitlocker encryption (which I recommend for most people) go to the old Control Panel and open the BitLocker Drive Encryption applet.

I do not attempt to edit the Windows registry.

in my installed windows 11 copy even with an in place update with update assistant, without reinstalling from scratch?

I suggest you to perform below mentioned steps to disable BitLocker.

To disable BitLocker I would suggest you try the following steps and see if it helps.

  Press Windows key + X and click on
  Control Panel.
  
• 
  Change View by from Category
  to Large Icons/Small Icons.
  
• 
  Click on BitLocker Drive Encryption and click on
  Turn BitLocker Off.
  
• 
  Follow on screen instructions. Click on Decrypt the Drive
  when the message appears.
