i have 2 laptops and one monitor. i am trying to use of of the laptops as an additional monitor and extend the display wirelessly. it works, but the print is small and wont let me adjust it and the margin boxes wont let me fill out the entire 13" screen which defeats the purpose. what do i need to do to fix the 2nd monitor screen. its in vertical mode. but it wont extend.

  2. How to add a margin to my 2nd screen ?

    Hi Evido,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I understand that you are willing to customize the frame margin of the screen. I will surely assist you on this.

I suggest you follow the below steps to customize screen resolution and check if it resolves the issue.

    1. Click on Start and select Control Panel.

    2. Navigate to Display > Change display settings.

    3. Select the recommended resolution from the drop down menu of Resolution.

    4. Click on Advanced settings under
Change the appearance of your display
    .

    5. Click on Properties under Adapter tab.

    6. Select Driver tab and click on Update Driver
    and then on check.

Hope this helps. If the issue remains unresolved, please get back to us and we would be happy to help.

  3. Screen Resolution issue on 3rd Display

    Dear Team,

I am using a Dell Work station T5810XL machine ,installed with WIn 10 OS. There are 2 Nvidia (NVS 315) display driver installed in that machines.

On first Nvidia Card 2 Monitors are connected & works fine in extended display environment. Perfect Screen resolution is maintained at 1280*1024.

On connecting 3rd screen ( Actually a Barco make Large Video screen) on 2nd Nvidia card, & selecting the option " extend 2to3 Display" , the screen resolution drops down automatically on screen no 2 ( i.e Second Monitor) & Screen No 3 ( Large screen). The
display option on the monitor & Large screen get's reduced.

    Please suggest..

2nd display has large margins on either side of the screen and wont fill out fully

Cannot get non-connected 2nd Monitor screen moved to Laptop Screen?

This is kind of hard to explain in a Subject line.

I have a USB Docking station set up at home with 2 large monitors, keyboard, printers, etc. connected to the docking station -- all plugged into a Laptop, whose screen is also active. Works great - Window's magic, I guess. I also have several programs
set up to come up (screen display) on the 2nd or 3rd Monitor screens when they are loaded.

My problem is, if (when) I just unplug the USB cable to the Docking station and take my Laptop over to a friends house, when I load one of the programs that comes up on one of my monitors, the program comes up and loads correctly (i.e. shows up on the taskbar
as running) - but the display is someplace in outer space because the 2nd (or 3rd) monitor is not there.

And for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to get the screen display (which the program apparently thinks is being correctly displayed on my 2nd monitor) moved over to my Laptop screen.

DETECT in the Settings\Display screen does not find any extra monitors (because they are not there) and the Extend and other options under the Windows-P Project option does not seem to help -- and many of the suggested fixes document steps involving options
that are apparently for older versions of Windows because many of the steps don't match the options on my version of Windows, which is the very latest Windows 10 update.

Surely there must be a simple way to fix this, but I have spent oven an hour trying to figure it out.

[P.S. I finally got the screen from the 2nd monitor to display on my Laptop screen, BUT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I DID TO MAKE THAT HAPPEN.]
