Windows 10: 2nd laptop monitor turning off when the laptop turns off

So,I have my laptop with a 2nd monitor, is there a way to set my 2nd monitor to turn off or on when the laptop turns off or on,basically, when I start turning on my laptop, my other 2nd monitor stays off, is there a way to make it turn on when I start my laptop, same with the shutdown?Same with my xbox, when I turn my xbox on the monitor stays off.Dell P2717H Is my monitor*Using hdmi*

Dual monitor wont turn on after opening laptop

Hi,

I have recently connected my old PC monitor to my laptop using a DVI to HDMI cable.

It initially didnt work when I connected it but I opened the Intel Graphics Settings menu - clicked and multiple displays - detect and it then turns on the 2nd monitor and it works fine.

When I close my laptop (so putting it to sleep) it puts the 2nd monitor to sleep (which is fine) but when I open it again it doesnt wake the 2nd monitor up and I have to repeat the whole process again.

How do I change the settings so when I close the laptop it puts the 2nd monitor to sleep but when I open the laptop it automatically wakes the 2nd monitor up without me having to go through the Intel Graphics Setting menu.

Here is a tip is you cant fix it, make it noticeable that you broke it...step on it *Wink "Oh my gawd, did i step on your lil ol laptop, im terribly sorry" Then she has no choice but to buy a new one.
