2nd monitor keeps disconnecting my Microsoft surface Laptop 2 about every45s, I have completed all the updates. Please help. Windows 11 Pro

2nd monitor blur and keeps disconnecting

OK hi. First im sorry if my english are bad because im from indonesia.

so i found an old laptop. and i make it as my 2nd monitor. But the laptop keep showing this screen every 5 second then disconnect. can you guys help me please? Thanks

 

Surface Laptop 3 with external monitor

Hi All,

Has anyone come across an issue with an external monitor blacking out while connected to a Surface Laptop 3? I have the laptop connected to a widescreen laptop with the Surface Dock. Both work fine however, once every hour or so the external monitor blacks out and comes back.

I've completed the following:

• Updated laptop drivers and firmware
  • Updated monitor drivers
  • Swapped out monitor

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
