Windows 10: 2nd monitor not being detected but works when I put resolution to a double monitor resolution.

Like stated when I want to duplicate the monitor the computer doesn't seem to want to notice it. Whoever if I set the resolution to something higher than 1920:1080 than it does go into the other monitor but when playing games will stretch it into both screens not just the one.

When I use an app in the 2nd monitor the resolution is fine. Just the desktop and the task bar resolution is too big on 2nd monitor.

monitor resolution off the edges

my 2nd monitor desk top resolution is1280x720 but the active resolution is 1920x1080. my main monitor resolutions are both 1920x1080. I have tried all the different resolution options but still cant see he edges of the 2nd monitor. this includes the desktop
as well as programs?

I’m running Window 10. I have just connected a 2nd monitor. My default monitor is Eizo CS2420 resolution and needs to remain 1900x1200.

My 2nd monitor Dell U2412M is duplicating my default monitor however, the screen and icons are far too big and need to change the resolution for the 2nd screen. I have gone into Display Settings clicked on the 2nd screen
but the icon for changing resolution is faded out and can’t change settings for resolution. When I click on Detect it come up in red ‘Didn’t detect another display’
