Windows 10: 2nd monitor vanished from device list

I had two monitors working fine. Suddenly one of the monitors vanished. I checked the connections, all were fine. I checked the cable by connecting it to another computer. The monitor works fine with other computers. I tried looking into the Device list. The second monitor is missing. Is there a way i could add the second monitor manually ? It was there before . It is missing now. Is this a Windows bug ? or is it only for my computer?

If you recently updated from one version of Windows to another, it's possible that the current driver is for the previous version of Windows. For us to troubleshoot your monitor issue, we suggest performing these steps:

• Run the troubleshooter for devices and hardware. The troubleshooter will perform a diagnostic process on your system that will check and resolve issues related to
  using your device.
• Update your monitor and display driver. To update a driver, refer to this
  link. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try checking for one on your device manufacturer's website.

i have a problem to connect 2 monitors.

• What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
  

• How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?

2nd monitor won't work - worked yesterday

Please provide some additional information, so that we can assist you better.

1. Have you made any changes on your computer?
   
2. Do you see any error message on your computer screen?
   
3. What is the make and model number of your computer?
   
4. Do you see any yellow exclamation error in the device manager under monitor tab?
   

However, I suggest you to follow below mentioned methods:

Method 1:
I suggest you to update the display drivers and check if it helps:



a. Press Windows key + X and select
Device Manager.

b. Right-click on the display drivers and select
Update Drivers.

c. Follow the prompted steps to complete updating the drivers.



Method 2:
Check if you can see two monitors in Device manager.

1. Press Windows key + X and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. When the Device Manager window appears, click the
   Monitors and right-click the item below.
   
3. Expand the Monitors, then right-click the
   second monitor and select Properties.
   

1. Update the drivers.

If the issues still persists you can try to
Roll Back Driver and follow the on-screen instructions.
