    2nd screen stuck on "out of range" setting when using 2nd screen only


    I was working on adjusting the resolution of my second external screen with the laptop main screen off. So when I have the second screen running and the laptop screen off I can only see the error "out of range 75-60 hz". I can see the second screen when duplicating or extending the screen, meaning that when I have both screens on then both screens are working and I can change the resolution of each however I want. However, If I change the setting to "2nd screen only" then I get the "out of range 75-60 hz" message and I am then unable to adjust the resolution due to an obvious lack of a working screen. How can I adjust the default setting for a 2nd screen's resolution when the 2nd screen is set to an "out of range" setting AND the 2nd monitor is the only monitor being used?

    when using the "second screen only" display option, the 2nd screen is stuck in tablet mode... Suggestions?

    Fullscreen does not show up at the same monitor where it is first located

    But many programs will open in normal size and on the 1st monitor every time no matter what is was set to or location when you last closed it.
